Taking a puppy from us
- Our greatest wish is that all of the owners of puppies form our kennel would keep in touch. We do not make puppies for sale, we breed dogs primarily for ourself.
We look forward to your emails! Please add:
- a short introduction to yourself and your family;
- place of residence (city, country);
- contact;
- what is your experience with the Caucasian Shepherd Dog (and other dogs) and what is the purpose of taking the puppy.
Responding to your e-mail, we will ask for additional information - 'coz it's important for us, that you have a serious wish for a puppy, which means that you are 1) a forever home, 2) a house owner, 3) have a well fenced yard, 4) are looking to add a family member (which means family members are in agreement) and 5) are in position to pay for a beautiful representative of the breed along with all the expensive upkeep of a large dog.
Puppies will be with:
Puppies are not cropped!
Cropping is also not allowed after sale of the puppy.
Puppy can be reserved. For that the prepayment (reservation fee) is applied. This fee is to insure the reservatsion both ways. This fee will not be returned if the buyer:
1. disclaims buying the puppy,
2. does not appear at the agreed time to buy the puppy or
3. can not be contacted (it is expected as the waiver of the purchase).
Our puppies are raised in a family environment and will have received first vaccinations and be micro-chipped before leaving for their new homes.
All dogs used in breeding who are living in our kennel are HD/ED tested in Estonia or in Lithuania. Results are available on our site, some also in EKL register (see the link below specific dog). X-rays (also uploaded to FB albums) and evaluation sheets can be seen up to request.
Caucasian Shepherd Dog requires a lot of socialization throughout puppyhood. When your puppy is fully vaccinated (2 weeks after the 3rd vaccination) you can take her to public places. Introduce your puppy to as many environments, situations and challenges as you can - invite your friends for a visit, take your puppy to a family picnic, take him to crowded places, let him get used to other animals, visit a pet store, take you puppy into busy areas of the town, take the puppy for a drives. Let the puppy meet children of all ages. We strongly recommend our puppy owners to attend puppy kindergarten classes. They provide an excellent opportunity for your Caucasian Shepherd to meet other dogs and people plus it's a great start for obedience training. Also it's really useful as we expect that you will be going to dog shows wiht the puppy. If the kindergarden is not possible, visit some dog shows and it would be awesome if the puppy would have a opportunity to interact with a older and wiser dog - they can easily take an example :)
You can never forget that owneing a Caucasian Shepherd needs strong hand and mind - the courage to be a master - and continuous training because of their self-confident and independent nature.
