Welcome to kennel Heramii
My name is Lily Mals and I'm the owner of kennel Heramii.
Dogs have been in my life since I was a little girl. The first dog in our family was German shepherd whose name was Hera, she had passed obedience and her puppies where used in border Guard. I don’t remember the times with her so much but as I’m told, she was like nanny to me and my sister - when we had vanished and Hera was no where to be found, then my parents where not worried. Once I was found sleeping in the snow with Hera :)
In 1991, Ewerlu Ramii, the first Caucasian Shepherd Dog, came to our home. She was a small snowball all white and everything. She grew up to be excellent watchdog. At that time it was nothing extraordinary to keep the dog in the chain and so was her, ’coz she did not tolerate any strangers and our house did not still have a fence. Her aggression was largely due to the fact that when he was still a tiny puppy, she was very curious, but local people amuse them selvs with attracting her to them and then intimidation her... When she was a big girl, it ended. I my self and my father got bitten by her, but it was because of a faults of our own – I bowed over her and petted her nose when she was a sleep and my father was wearing clothes belonging to another person and did not made any sound (did not call for Ramii). At the same time as Ramii we had Von Wulf - beautiful harlequin Great Dane. He lived in the house, and he was really big. I remember that he had a tail that is like a whip :D He was really magnificent, but we lost him to stomach twist... I believe that he might have offsprings in Finnland.
After that we had only Ramii. She had few litters and from litter „R“ we left a puppy to our house. I think that Ramii left us at the age of 8 years.... Rhonda (born on 25.04.1999), her daughter, took over the guard duties.
Rhonda was really lovely dog, she was always with us (with me and my sister), even when we where cost-burning – he almost lost her tail hair :D She had one litter – litter „C“ on 25.05.2004. On 20.11.2006 we lost her to spinal cord injury as she tries to climb over her two-meter fence.
After that I did not go to my family house so often, ’coz our family is not close and Rhonda had been a reason for me to visit.
But a day or two after we but Rhonda to the ground, my mother went and brought home a new puppy – Barromal She-Ar Antoinette. Also a Caucasian Shepherd Dog, but she was from another line than our earlier representatives of breed. I love her and we is a good watchdog and a massive female with her 80 kg. Mostly she has been shown at the dog shows by my mother, but at this age (age of 7 years) she has been bit unpredictable when a judge must touch her. So you really need to know what to do and how to react – last show she was disqualified.
BUT this was just an introduction to my life with the dogs.
My first dog came to our house in August 2009. He was offered to my mother, but I was the ones who bought him – Erots Tsagun came too us from Latvian. He was a little polar bear – all white and fluffy. At the same time, there was a litter in Tallinn, from one of Rhondas offsprings Carma. I asked my mother to call the owner and ask if they have a gray female for sale – they did. As I told, I do not get along with my mother so well and at one point she had called to Carma owner to cancel the puppy reservations. I was informed about the cancellation... so I had to look up the contact and call myself. At that point there was only one female left and no matter the color I wanted that puppy - and I got Lucky Devil Aziza. She officially is gray with white, but in reality she was like German shepherd only with some white an the chest and feet - sable. So I had two puppies – male and female – both long-waited – a white one (we waited to have a withe CO for almost 10 years) and one from our old line.
A year passed and my mother was offered a second white puppy from Latvia – female, 4 months – supposedly she can’t get along with other dogs. I might had been blinded by the color and did not think much as we droved to Latvia to get her – Lana Zilva was adorable. Officially she is white with buff, so she has some reddish at the end of her ears and tail.
And this is how and why I have a kennel Heramii (the name is based on our families two first dogs - German Shepherd Hera and Caucasian Shepherd Ramii = Her(ar)amii).
At first we, I mean Nele and I did not have much knowledge about the dog shows. All above-mentioned dogs where at first registered to my mother's name and she did not allow me nor my sister to show them even if she had do go to the ring with four different dogs. But eventually you can't be in the ring with different dogs at the same time, so she needed us to show one or the other. As I was the one who had bought them we decided that we can handle the dogs ourselves and started to show Eros, Aziza and Luna. After some time mother didn't have any interest in the shows and we did not invite her to come along. We started with shows in Estonia, and then had some shows at Latvia and Lithuania. For a years that was the farest we went. But at the 2013 we decided to go to the WDS in Hungary with Eros and from that time we have traveled all around Europe and to Russia for different dog shows.
